The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

A year after winning the 74th Hunger Games, Katniss Everdeen and her partner, Peeta Mellark must go on what is known as the Victor's Tour wherein they visit all the districts. But before leaving, Katniss is visited by President Snow who fears that Katniss defied him a year ago during the games when she chose to die with Peta. With both Katniss and Peeta declared the winners, it is fueling a possible uprising. He tells Katniss that while on tour she better try to make sure that she puts out the flames or else everyone she cares about will be in danger. But unfortunately she fails to do that. So Snow decides to enact what is known as the Quarter Quell, the right to make a change to the Hunger Games, which he is allowed to do every 25 years. He decides to hold an edition of the Hunger Games wherein previous winners will compete again. Their mentor Haymitch thinks their best chance to survive is form an alliance with some of the others. Na haar overwinning in de 74ste Jaarlijkse Hongerspelen met haar metgezel Peeta Mellark is Katniss Everdeen veilig naar huis teruggekeerd. Deze overwinning betekent echter dat ze opnieuw weg moeten en hun familie moeten achterlaten om op een 'Overwinningstournee' doorheen de districten te vertrekken. Onderweg merkt Katniss dat een opstand op til is, maar de Hoofdstad is nog steeds aan de macht wanneer President Snow de 75ste Jaarlijkse Hongerspelen voorbereidt - een wedstrijd die Panem voorgoed kan veranderen.

An operative for an elite private intelligence firm finds her priorities changing dramatically after she is tasked with infiltrating an anarchist group known for executing covert attacks upon major corporations.

Sarah (Brit Marling) is een agente die werkt voor een meedogenloos beveiligingsbedrijf. Ze heeft de opdracht gekregen, om te infiltreren bij een anarchistische groep genaamd "The East". Sarah slaagt erin om bij de groep te komen, ondanks het verzet van Izzy (Ellen Page). Izzy is een zeer uitgesproken lid van de groep. Vervolgens voelt Sarah zich steeds meer aangetrokken tot de charismatische leider Benji (Alexander Skarsgård), wat haar leven en prioriteiten nogal beïnvloedt.

Fantastical Wooden Sculptures

In his personal sculpture garden, Australian artist Bruno Torfs crafts wooden figures that live in the forest. Embracing fantasy, his life-sized works feature delightfully unusual characters. We see things like a bearded wizard carrying an armful of tiny creatures and a young princess riding a unicorn. Torfs incorporates the natural landscape into his art, using tree branches and leaves as a part of his subjects’ hair or body. After carving, they remain unpainted and blend in with their surroundings.

We might describe someone as wooden when they lack emotion, but Torfs proves that wood can convey an incredible range of feelings. He communicates love, joy, and sadness through tiny details like the angle of a shoulder or subtle shape of an eye. These figures mirror difficult emotions we face, and his work is a symbol of compassion and a source of comfort to those who use nature walks for reflection.
